OP Showers
The showers are a long hall, stalls lining either side. The tile that lines everything is cracking and moldy, and most of the shower heads are missing or covered in soap scum.
Around the bend up ahead, there's the sound of footsteps. Turning it reveals a puzzle, but no one in sight.
There are three large, golden dials on the floor, turned by handles. If you turn them all to the right symbols at the arrows on the floor, then you'll solve the puzzle. Turn them wrong and, well... let's just say that the siren that goes off is good at attracting monsters.
To help you out, there are three clues, one for each dial, engraved on the wall in one of the stalls:
Riddle 1:
I stand beside the holy man
The monarchs fear my wrath
None may move the way I can
Ever the crooked path
Options: Bishop (chess piece), Knight (chess piece), Queen (chess piece), Rook (chess piece)
Riddle 2:
The man who devised it
Does not want it
The man who bought it
Does not use it
The man who used it
Does not realize it
Options: Skull and Crossbones, Coffin, Knife, Prison Bars
Riddle 3:
What man loves more than life
Fears more than death or mortal strife
What poor men have, the rich acquire
And all contented men desire
What misers spend and the wastrels save
And each man carries to his grave?
Options: Heart, Dollar Sign, Empty Space, Clock
If you complete the puzzle, some of the power to the penitentiary comes on, particularly the code box to get into solitary confinement. You still need the code, though...
[If you need help, contact Dandy! This is also a canon puzzle, so the solutions can be googled - try to figure it out yourself first, though!]
